Mr. Berg has over 30 years of experience as a lawyer in a wide area of business law. He works in particular with contracts and dispute resolution within the business areas of financing, real estate, shipping, marine insurance, companies and corporate transactions. The experience includes working with contracts designed in English contract text and contracts that are based on English or American legal tradition. Mr. Berg has extensive experience with litigation before the courts and arbitral tribunals.

Mr. Berg has several decades of experience as a board member and chairman of companies within the business areas of shipping, real estate, trading, investment firms and insurance broking.
Mr. Berg is chairman of the board of NCL Holding AS (Norwegian Cruise Line, Norway), formerly NCL Holding ASA (listed company). He has been a member of the Norwegian Procurement Rules Committee and the Norwegian National Committee for contracts on information technology. He has also been chairman of the alpine ski club Ingierkollen Rustad Slalom Club.
